When one goes off, they all should.
A hardwired detector is a small job with a long list of rules about where it goes and what it talks to. Getting the whole set right is what we do.
What We Do
- Replace the set. Detectors expire at ten years, and the hardwired ones chirp to tell you. We replace them all at once, interconnected, with battery backup, so when one sounds they all do.
- Add them where there are none. Bedrooms, hallways outside bedrooms, every level. New wiring where it is needed.
- Carbon monoxide too. Combination smoke and CO units where the house has gas, a fireplace or an attached garage.
- For a sale or a rental. California requires working smoke and CO detectors when a home is sold, and in rentals. We bring the house up to what the form asks for.
- The 3 AM chirp. A new battery, a new unit, or a wiring fault behind it. We find which.
