Buying, selling, insuring, or tired of fuses
Still Have A Fuse Box? Know What It Needs, And What It Costs.
Some fuse boxes still fit the house they serve. Many are feeding a house that has added fifty years of appliances. We look at yours and tell you which it is, and what a breaker panel would cost.

We look before we quote.
A fuse box is not one decision either. The box, the fuses in it, and everything the house has added since each have their own answer. Telling them apart is what we do.
What We Look At
- The fuses in it. A fuse bigger than the wire it protects is the most common thing we find, and the one that matters most. It stops the blowing and leaves the wire doing the fuse’s job.
- What the house has added since. Central air, a dryer, a kitchen remodel, a charger in the garage. Each one asks the box for more than it was built to give.
- The size of the service. Many fuse boxes bring 60 amps into the house. Whether that is enough depends on what the house is doing with it.
- The box itself. Heat marks at the fuse holders, the pull-out blocks, and what the wiring behind the cover looks like.
Insurers often ask about fuse boxes, and buyers notice them. If yours is the reason you are here, we tell you exactly what it needs and what a breaker panel costs, before any work begins. Some do not need replacing yet. We will say so.
Called yesterday, they arrived today, as scheduled, gave a good estimate, performed the repair. On time, correct and no hassle. I will continue to use their excellent services.Chris Matthews · Read on Google
