How do I charge my vehicle? Lets look at charging options.

Ordinary house current works just fine for most electric vehicles. But for those with larger battery packs and longer range, you may want to consider an electrical upgrade. You can find around town many charging hubs to park and plug. As for charging at home, most new cars come with a plug. Which is usually a lower level, which means it takes longer to charge your vehicle. Upgrading to a higher level charging unit will charge your vehicle faster.

There are a lot of programs and incentives out there. Check for incentives before you buy from PG&E and SMUD.

Today we will be talking about Renewable Energy. So what is renewable energy? It is energy that has been used from earths natural resources that are not limited. Being a alternative to the regular energy that needs fossil fuels which is a limited resource.

Some of the most common renewable energy used today are geothermal, wind, hydro, solar, biomass. Some benefits from renewable energy are cleaner energy for the environment which will help global warming, improved public safety, stable energy prices and no limit on earths natural resources. Some problems with renewable energy are taking up a lot of land space and blocked scenic views, low energy amount produced, loss of habitats, reliance on weather, & geographic limitations.

This the 2nd time we have used Priority 1 Electric. Frank and Mike did a great job. Our job was a little tricky and... involved them drilling through redwood beams to place electrical boxes in our ceiling so we could add light fixtures. They nailed it!! and we appreciated how they took extra step to cover our floor and furniture with drop cloths. Would recommend and use again!!!read more

This is the 2nd time we needed them. Always friendly, always informative, always AVAILABLE. Called another and the... nearest appointment was over 2 weeks away. That doesn't work when you have babies that need AC. Highly recommend. -- They are also available 24/7 but we elected to wait until morning. May have been pricey but they were prompt, so no regrets.Breaker blew on a Saturday at dinner time when it was 104... out still, and couldn't reset it. I was able to describe the issue and their weekend night fee was cheaper than another company's. Got a call back after within the hour with honesty of "We can come out tonight if you really want us to, but we don't have that breaker in stock, and a visit tonight just to tell you we'll be out Sunday again. Coming out tonight will be a charge for nothing." My panel is older and Zinsco. they don't make those parts anymore, so cant' blame them for not having that readily on hand.Came out promptly Sunday morning to triage and confirm what the fix will be. Confirmed dud breaker, which needed to be sourced once their parts vendor was available Monday.Came back Monday morning ready to go and got it done. Casey handled and was very courteous, and thorough, and did a full maintenance on the panel. Crappy timing of when my issue occurred, so fixed by noon on Monday - can't ask for better than that. THEY STOLE $400 IN POWER TOOLS FROM MY HOME. THEY LEFT THE JOB UNFINISHED AND NEVER CALLED BACK. WORST. EXPERIENCE.... EVER. RUN FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND NEVER LET THEM INTO YOUR HOME!!Simple job: update/ground all electrical outlets. They came out the first day, worked for 3 hours and then said that they had another customer who refused to wait, and THEY JUST ABANDONED US. We had this appointment for weeks, and they said they had just provided an estimate to this other customer that afternoon. They took complete advantage of our kindness. We bought them lunch/gave them water, etc. I even tipped the one poor trainee kid, because he was left here by his coworkers completely alone for 1 of those 3 hours. They said they would be back the next day at 8 AM. They casually roll in THREE HOURS LATE, at about 11 AM the next day. We were here waiting for them at 8 AM. No call from them; we had to call them and ask where they were.Later, we had no choice but to leave for a couple of hours to meet the moving truck down the street, and that's when they STOLE OUR POWER TOOLS FROM OUR BACK YARD. When we finished with the truck, they had a different guy here with them (who I think is the boss) who was CLEARLY DRUNK. As they were leaving, he says he forgot one of the outlets, switched it out and ASKED ME FOR CASH IMMEDIATELY AFTER PAYING MY BILL!! Guess what?! WHEN HE SWITCHED THAT OUTLET, HE KILLED THE POWER TO OUR WHOLE HOUSE FAN and the flood lights in the yard. I'd say they didn't finish more than half of the job, and they actually made it WORSE than before they were here!! We called them and let them know that they broke the house fan, didn't finish the job, and stole our tools. They said they would call us back to make an appointment. That was almost 2 WEEKS AGO!! They didn't seem to care the first time we called and they have never called us back.We got an estimate from another company who told us that THEY LEFT THE ELECTRICAL CORDS ON THE GROUND UNDER THE HOUSE instead of stapling them up!!! I am so upset and hurt by this experience and now I have to pay a different company to come out and fix the damage caused by Priority 1 Electric!! And no replacing the power tools as they had sentimental value. Oh, and just to add insult to injury: when I asked for an update while they were here, they wouldn't talk to me about the repairs, they said they would prefer to speak to my husband instead.
